Putting the pub back into Bibury!
Under new management with a fresh new look, the Catherine Wheel in Bibury re-opened on the 26th of November to a huge crowd of over 150 locals. Guests were invited to try samples from the new menu, all made with locally sourced ingredients. New owners (who are also the chefs) Dominic Brockbank and Jeremy White, set out with a simple vision to produce good, honest quality food from local suppliers matched by a warm atmosphere and friendly service.
The new menu consists of starters including: home-made soups, Smoked Bibury trout tart with crème fraiché and a citrus rocket salad plus much more. Main courses include slow-roasted shoulder of lamb, courgette and spinach penne gratin and of course classics such as rib eye steaks and fresh 12 inch stone-baked pizzas.
Dominic and Jeremy, who have both worked in other restaurants including the Bibury Court Hotel, Half Way House and Durham Ox have brought their flair for fine dining to this local pub.
“We only use the finest cuts of meat from our butcher in Cirencester, vegetables from local growers and trout from the local Bibury Trout Farm.
The aim is to serve fantastic tasting, good looking food.” Dominic

The pub, dating back to the 15th Century, has many original features, with large open fires and wood beams. Cotswold stone building.

to put the traditional village pub back into Bibury, with honest, great quality food and drink in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
